This document has been adopted in connection with Suffolk Local Authority, whose model pay policies the Governors and Trustees of the Hartismere Family of Schools committed to following prior to the conversion of Hartismere School to Academy Status. This connected approach was based on Union Consultation and partnership with the DfE with whom the School worked very closely as the equal first Academy in England and the first in Suffolk. Although this policy remains closely connected to the current model policy of Suffolk Local Authority it takes account of provisions now outlined in the 2018 Academies Handbook and the financial position of school in response to significant real terms reductions in Government funding for schools.
